About

In its history the field of Systems Biology has been defined in multiple ways, from the application of systems and control theory to biological systems to a generally integrative quantitative approach to biological research. Core to our conception of Systems Biology is the synergistic application of theory and quantitative experimental approaches to the study of biological problems. Our faculty is drawn from across the Divisions of Physical and Life Sciences in the College of Letters and Science, the David Geffen School of Medicine, and the Samueli School of Engineering at UCLA and supported by the UCLA Institute for Quantitative and Computational Biosciences.
